Onsite Cemetery Lettering in Maine

Welcome to Collette Monuments

On Site Lettering

Our on site Lettering Craftsman John Sheehy.

John Sheehy provides the same craftsmanship that went into creating your monument to complete the dates or other information on site, in the cemetery where your monument is located.  This ensures that new lettering will match the original lettering.  Because our craftsman, John, has the time-tested skills handed down from earlier generations, John's father, your lettering will match existing lettering, no matter how far in the past the original work was done, or by whom.

Dates and names can be added to your monument in the cemetery.
The first step is to get permission from the current lot owner. If you are the only living relative that is sufficient. To determine the owner of the lot you would have to contact the cemetery personnel, they have those records. If you don't know who that is, then you call the town office, or city hall, the cemetery is in and they can give you that information.
We would then suggest that we check the stone for the current layout of the names.
After checking the stone we would be more familiar with what could be added, and be able to make suggestions, giving you an accurate estimate of the cost.
Things we will need to know when you call for onsite lettering:

a. What cemetery is the memorial located in?

b. Where in the cemetery is the memorial located?

c. What are the current names on the memorial?

d. What color is the stone, gray, brown, white, black, or pink?

e. Is the memorial flush with the ground, or standing upright, so it can be seen as we drive up?

f. What is the information you wish added to the memorial?
